1. Define Jealousy.

2. When we think of jealousy what do we think of?

3. Why does jealousy have such a negative connotation?

4. Read Exodus 34:14 . What does God mean when He says “I am a Jealous God”?

5. Why does it bother us that God is jealous?

6. What is the difference in Bible Stories between the “upper story” and the “lower story”? How does this change our perspective of the story? See Psalm 106:7-9 and Ezekiel 36:21-27.

7. What does it mean that “God lives for Himself”?

8. To say: “God lives for Himself” sounds almost as arrogant as hearing God say He is jealous. How do you explain that this is not only OK, but it is good, right and necessary?
